Background
Deng Yingchao (1904 --- 1992), a native of Guangshan, Henan Province, was a proletarian revolutionist, stateswoman, well-known socialist, resolute Marxist, remarkable CPC and state leader, and pioneer of the Chinese women's movement. After the founding of the new China, she was Vice Chairwoman and Honorary Chairwoman of the All-China Women's Federation, Vice Chairwoman of the Standing Committee of NPC, and Chairwoman of CPPCC. During her over 70 years of revolutionary work, she devoted her whole life to the revolution, socialist construction and reform of China. She enjoyed great prestige both in China and overseas, and was held in high esteem and respect by all the CPC members and people all over the country.Share:
